  About ICDRO

International Clinical Dental Research Organisation (ICDRO) is a non profit organisation and has been given “Charitable Institution” status by Income Tax Department, Government of India (PN/CIT-1/Regn/12 A(a)/140/2013-14/3596)

Ever since its inception in 2009, ICDRO has been an active scientific body. JICDRO is a scientific journal under the aegis of ICDRO and is now in its 7th year of publication. In 2009 ICDRO organized a national workshop on periodontal medicine & in consecutive succession in 2011, 2012 and 2013, international conferences like ICDRO World Congress were also a part of the scientific activitiy. These congresses have seen the academicians of international repute , across the world , interact with their active partipication. The main goal of ICDRO is on providing “affordable dental care“ to masses in sub-urban and rural population. ICDRO plans to open 25 dental centres in Pune district in order to reach out to the masses. ICDRO also plans to establish ‘ Tobacco De-addiction Centres ’. Objective is to educate, motivate and counsel the common mass about the ill- effects of tobacco consumption on oral and systemic health . Community awareness programmes would also be a part of this initiative.ICDRO is raising donations from individuals ,corporates and government to promote research in areas of oral cancer, periodontal medicine, cleft lip-palate, dental tissue engineering and innovations in dental material science.

Journal of the International Clinical Dental Research Organisation (JICDRO, Print ISSN: 2231-0754, E-ISSN: 2231-5357), is peer reviewed, bi- annual journal. The journal publishes papers related to the theme ‘INNOVATIONS IN DENTISTRY’. We have different sections related to INNOVATIONS IN CLINICAL DENTISTRY, INNOVATIONS IN BASIC RESEARCH, REVIEW ARTICLES ON NEW DENTAL TECHNOLOGY AND MATERIALS. The Journal encourages bringing together academicians and clinicians to be a part of this initiative by contributing, reviewing and thus promoting scientific works and science. JICDRO is a UGC approved journal (Journal no. 63927).

Digital Archiving

Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.

Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.

CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.

Advertisements

While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

  • "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
  • The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
  • Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.

Scope of the journal

Journal of the International Clinical Dental Research Organisation (JICDRO) is a multispecialty journal of Dentistry and invites manuscripts from authors in the different fields of dentistry. JICDRO invites scientific submission from the authors in the following categories: Original Research (Basic And Clinical), Evidence based/Systematic reviews articles, Clinical Science and Techniques/Case reports (with discussion), Short Communications, Letter to the Editor, Commentaries , Special Features etc.

The journal respects the scientific submission of its authors and believes in following an expeditious double-blind peer review process and endeavors to complete the review process within scheduled time frame. A significant effort from the author and the journal perhaps enables to strike an equilibrium to meet the professional expectations of the peers in the world of scientific publication. JICDRO believes in safeguarding the privacy rights of human subjects. In order to comply with it, the journal instructs all authors when uploading the manuscript to also add the ethical clearance (human/animals )/ informed consent of subject in the manuscript. This applies to the study/case report that involves animal/human subjects/human specimens e.g. extracted tooth part/soft tissue for biopsy/in vitro analysis.
