Dear Editor,
We have gone through the suggestion given by the author of "letter to Editor" (Lt Col Dr Rajeev Deo).
We appreciate his efforts of reading and suggesting something that is well-known to him than us. In fact, being in marine medicine, he must be having a very thorough knowledge of the subject.
As stated by him, HBO2 technician is a person who only knows to operate the chamber and have knowledge of First-aid, whereas an HBO2 physician is a qualified to assess the patients, decide about the pressure to be applied and the number of sitting required reaching the end point with a discussion with a concern specialist.
Being a review article, we have just gathered the information from various articles and compiled it systemically. The term "technician" is just the same piece of that information.
However, we agree with his terminologies and to the fact that it is the physician who should look for the preparation part before hyperbaric oxygen therapy and not a technician.
Hence, we accept the modification suggested by him from "technician" to "physician."
Thanking you,
